AM: I left my flat early this morning and jogged down to the corner market where I picked up a copy of the Times. Returned home and read the paper over coffee before going back down the stairs and into the street. I paused momentarily before breaking into a run, turning left towards the Estuary and then right onto High Road. Although the wind was against me and the course was uphill, I ran hard, accelerating throughout. Precisely 4.5 miles later, I arrived at the King John Secondary School where I am employed as a teacher. After a quick shower, I changed into the suit and tie I left at work last evening before breakfast of rye crisp, honey, grapefruit, and more coffee.

With that, my working day began.

Live like a clock!

12 miles after a busy day in court. Down to the bridge to the southern edge of Palm Beach and back. Last 2 miles in 9:55 just to blow out the pipes a bit.

Dinner after at Deacon's - bowl of chili and a couple beers.
